Yes, because things ARE shifting so fast, it's stabilizing to be with the people (and places) that have known us our whole lives. And it's uplifting to see the future--to look to the next generation, too.

Took a better ski week from you years ago. Great writing and story. I’m from Nebraska and live in Tucson and Seco. Your story took me back to another time which on the service always seems simpler however today I realize the negative aspects were buried a little deeper and I had the innocence and joy of youth. See you in Taos sometime. Mick

Great query at the end, too. My answer: something about unconditional connection, acceptance, under any and all conditions, feels like what could never change for me and my kin, no matter where I roam.
